The Silent Service Motorcycle Club (SSMC) was founded by Bob Opple, Ken board, Don Gentry and Tim Floersch in Washington state. The original charter was drafted in December of 2008. All four still are active members and simply wanted to ride together but also tie that to being a Submariner. Our membership is right at 400 members nationally and internationally with 20+ chapters throughout the United states.

We as the SSMC are a self-governing organization, with the credo of: To perpetuate the memory of our shipmates who gave their lives in the pursuit of duties while serving their country. That their dedication, deeds and supreme sacrifice be a constant source of motivation toward greater accomplishments. Pledge loyalty and patriotism to the United States of America and its Constitution.

We are also an organization that supports and respects all military organizations and their families.
